In this free audio and Vimeo video (frankthemusicman.vhx.tv), Dr. Frank, the Music Man ( Dr. Frank Abernathy) provides a quick sampling of the kind of music he plays. He starts out with a quick sample of old style boogie woogie, then an old song from an "ancient fake book" called "Breathless", a semi-classical piece, "Misty" by Erroll Garner, stuff he makes up on the fly, and a good old fashioned church song in which he sings as he plays. Requests are welcomed but beware... he'll do it Abernathy style, which at times can be quite irreverent!

Dr. Frank plays the piano, trumpet and sings. He started out playing the piano as a kid, quit, and started back up again playing boogie woogie. He started using a fakebook to play old standard melodies using beautiful chord progressions. He began playing complex compositions fondly referred to as “Broiled Restaurant”.
